LUKE 21:31-32

So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.

 

The WEU (Western European Union) was formed in March 1948 just prior to Israel becoming a Nation.  In July 2011, after 63 years in operation, the WEU will cease to operate and be completely dissolved.   This could prove to be quite a significant moment in time.  I would like to present a few comments for you to keep in mind as we watch events unfold over the next few months.

 

While it is true that no one can know the day or the hour of our Lord's return (Matthew 24:36; Mark 13:32), we can know the season (Matthew 16:2-3) and in fact, Jesus told us to keep watch (Matthew 24:42).  This being said, there are major prophetic signs with blood red moons which will occur on High Holy Days for Israel twice in 2014 and twice again 2015.  Blood red moons that occur on Jewish High Holy Days have marked significant events in Israel's history (ex:  Becoming a Nation in 1948, Six-Day War in 1967).  Keep this in mind for a few moments...

 

The Book of Daniel gives a particular warning in regards to a beast represented by 10 toes, 10 horns and 10 kings (Daniel 2:41-43; 7:15-28).  Daniel 7:24 indicates that another king (the antichrist) will arise after these 10 kings come into power and the he will later subdue 3 kings.  The WEU has 10 members, or we could say 10 powers.  They are Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.  In July 2011 the WEU will cease to exist.  With all that is going on world wide at this moment, it will be interesting to watch for a "leader" rise to the top from the mix of leaders of the nations.  Based on the Scriptures, when the antichrist does rise, he will be so powerful that he will be able to subdue 3 kings.  Could those 3 kings, or 3 powers, be NATO, EU, and the IAEA? 

 

All the world is coming against Israel with a vengeance.  It seems that most do not believe the warning in Zechariah 12.  Regardless, we know Israel will be under such duress in the future that she will make a covenant with the antichrist for a period of 7 years (Daniel 9:27).  This being said, lets take another look at July 2011.  It is interesting that July coincides with the month of Tamuz on the Jewish calendar.  Tamuz is the saddest of all months for the Jewish people because 5 terrible things happened during this month in their history.  (1-Moses smashed the first tablets on seeing the golden calf, 2-During the period of the first Temple, the besieged population of Jerusalem could not obtain an animal for the daily sacrifice, 3-The walls of Jerusalem were breached by the Romans during the second Temple period, 4-Apustamus, a Roman officer, burnt a Torah scroll, 5- An idol was placed in the holy Temple).  Perhaps a covenant with the antichrist will be added to the list of heartaches for Israel during the month of Tamuz. 

 

Could it be possible that the rapture happens sooner rather than later?  It is interesting to take the total number of years the WEU has been in existence, 63, and add the years established by God for the Tribulation period, 7, and we get 70.  It's a fact that 70 is the number of years of a generation according to the Bible.  There were 70 years between the rapture of Enoch and the birth of Noah.  Israel was in Babylonian captivity for 70 years.  This is very significant!

 

Additionally, should the rapture happen sometime in 2011, this puts the blood red moons of 2014 & 2015 at significant points during what would be the Tribulation period.  If history repeats itself, they could potentially be markers of the second half of the Tribulation period which marks the greatest judgments and wrath being poured out upon the inhabitants of earth.

 

My words are not speculation...just merely my thoughts written down for now.  In due time, God's master plan will be revealed.  Until I can view these events from Heaven's balcony, I will keep watch and I will let no man deceive me as the Bible clearly warns....I pray you will do the same.
